Gynecomastia

Gynecomastia is the benign enlargement of breast tissue in males. The tissue can be removed by surgery after tests have been conducted to rule out any underlying pathology. The scar is usually located on the lower edge of the nipple , though with more complex operations, the scar completely encircles the areola. If the breast tissue is mainly fatty tissue (‘pseudogynecomastia’), liposuction will be used to remove it .
