Reconstruction after breast-conserving surgery (oncoplastic surgery)
Breast-conserving surgery, in which only a part of the breast is removed (tumorectomy or lumpectomy), is becoming increasingly widespread . The shape of the breast usually has to be corrected at a later stage following this type of surgery, although a primary oncoplastic reconstruction can be performed if requested. Contour defects can be corrected with lipofilling .
