Botulinum toxin (Botox)

After being injected into the facial muscles, Botulinum toxin temporarily paralyses the nerves that cause these muscles to contract, which prevents wrinkles from developing in the skin. To achieve a long-lasting result, the treatment needs to repeated every 3 to 4 months. The most common use of Botulinum toxin is for the treatment of frown lines between the eyebrows, horizontal lines on the forehead and crow’s feet around the eyes. It can also be used to treat lines around the mouth and neckline.
