Bodylift

After major weight loss (often following bariatric surgery), a simple tummy tuck is often not enough because excess skin remains on the patient’s flanks and thighs. When a body lift is performed, the excess skin around the abdominal area is surgically removed. The remaining skin on the tummy is tightened using the same procedure for a tummy tuck, and a thigh and buttock lift performed. This procedure is usually carried out in conjunction with extensive liposuction when excess subcutaneous fat also needs to be removed.
